FROM NOISE TO THE TECHNOLOGICAL INTEREST OF SOUND PHENOMENA
Broad field of study and transversal discipline, acoustics has applications in the fields of engineering sciences (building, transport, industry, audio), health (hearing, medical imaging, noise control), and human and social sciences (art, entertainment) …
Pr Boulandet, Head of the Applied Acoustics Laboratory, Pr Putzu and Dr Rozsnyo of HEPIA presented their fields of expertise, a good time to understand, for example, how to “choke” or “lighten” a noise, to scrutinize and diagnose an acoustic field, or simulate computationally the minute repetition of a horological complication.
A visit allowed to discover 2 expérimentation rooms, one where we are the only sound producer and the other where resonances and standing waves are the nodes of the problem.
This OpenLab was an opportunity to discover and question the acoustics know-how of HEPIA researchers.
