With the development of technologies, virtual communications, depersonalized processes, robots, the human aspect tends to disappear. The consequences are not long in coming: disengagement, suffering, stress, burn-out for employees.

The effervescence of research for new modes of management, well-being at work, the ergonomics of workstations, testifies to a reconsideration of the role of the human in the company.

Managers and HR managers are led to manage change in order to improve the functioning of their team and to promote both well-being at work and productivity. A true challenge for the business world, employee motivation plays a decisive role in the efficiency and therefore in the economic development of the company.

The Prof. Gendolla invited us, with concrete examples, to understand what are the basic processes of motivation, especially with regard to the mobilization of effort in cognitive tasks and the affective influences on human behavior.
